We’re pleased to officially announce Cycling Weekly and Le Col’s clothing partnership for the 2018 season.

Together, CW and Le Col have produced custom kit that our editorial team will wear throughout the season, and will be featured across both the website and the Cycling Weekly YouTube channel.

The kit is the same as that raced in by Team Wiggins.

In particular, the CW team has been supplied with the summer collection, including the short sleeve jersey and bib shorts, but also a long sleeve jersey and a range of accessories including warmers. For the first time the CW kit will also be available to purchase by the public – more details on that to follow.

Le Col said of the partnership: “We’re delighted to work with Cycling Weekly on their 2018 performance cycling range”

“With an unrivalled heritage and reputation for integrity in the cycling world, Cycling Weekly had a clear vision for their new kit and we’ve used our product and design knowledge in producing professional level collections to deliver pro team level performance.”

Simon Collis, Time Inc. UK’s Editor-in-chief of sports and sobbies said: “We’re excited to be starting our new partnership with Le Col, who have delivered a really stylish and high quality kit for the Cycling Weekly team.

“Le Col’s kit is at the forefront of innovation and performance and we can’t wait to get started with using it in our videos on the Cycling Weekly YouTube channel and cyclingweekly.com”.

Le Col was founded in 2011 by Yanto Barker, a former professional cyclist, who now heads up a team of the industry’s best designers creating class leading cycling clothing. Previously, our editorial team have awarded the Le Col HC jacket our Editor’s Choice award and cannot wait to start riding in the custom kit.

  1. La Vie Claire jersey was superb, closely followed by the Bianchi in terms of the older jerseys.
As for modern looks, Ag2r-La Mondial had a white jersey couple seasons ago, that was nice in my opinion; but nothing beats the Colnago Gazprom jersey of RusVelo if you like blue!

  2. Huge fan of the Cannondale Saeco kit of old, with the Brooklyn chewing gum coming a very close second. It changed subtlety over its time but is still instantly recognisable.
As iconic as it is I reckon it looked best when it was in the Italian national champions colour, and possibly during the legalise my Cannondale campaign.

  3. Definitely the EF Cannondale Drapac Team. Bang on, in your face.

You wouldnt need a golden helmet to Ollie, you're wearing one already!! (If you're not wearing any helmet)

  4. My favourite kit growing up was the T-mobile kit as worn by my childhood hero Jan Ullrich, loved the fact he would get out of shape of the off season, wonder if that would have happened with todays aero jerseys. Legend in my eyes. everyone loved Armstrong but i had a sneaky suspicion even back than and theres is history. Anyway to see those two battle during the Tour and that amazing pink/black adidas kit.

  5. For me is the 2018 BMC kit, the balance of colors makes the rider not too flashy but noticeable. The classic colors red black and withe will suit match a color of most of the bikes that us the common riders have.

  6. My pick is Greg van Avermaet's Belgium national kit at the Rio Olympics. There's something iconic about the pale blue with Belgian tricolor that just emanates all things 'cycling'. Just an epic kit!

  7. Not a classic kit (YET) but the Canyon/SRAM Women's racing kit is gorgeous and has all the design cues to suggest that it is going to be a future classic. look forward to seeing you for on the ride out with my new CW kit 😉

  8. The 2011 Leopard-Trek kit! It might not have much history (the team only lasted for 1 year…), but I will never forget seeing Andy Schleck win atop the Galibier in that kit!

  9. I think the best Jersey of all time has got to be Tom Simpsons pergout Jersey, just looks so cool and it just adds that he is from my home town as well, simply lovely bit of kit
