  1. i need you to make a 15 minute discussion video on running tubeless road , tubeless mtb is child's play , but running a tubeless road requires way more trail and error the right type of sealant and plugs …

  2. With your super high w/kg, I think you could run some heavier tires and it wouldnt hurt you so much on the climbs. With a Rocket Ron on the back i have never punctured in 900 miles. North Carolina riding isnt so rocky but I wonder if thunder burt is too thin to be worth it

  3. Sorry to hear about your DNF. Just take a tubolite tube with you in case you need it… weighs next to nothing. Most of the top level XCM folks run plugs + 1 tube. Differences in XCM become so big that 1 tube doesnt matter at all for your overall result.

  4. Aren’t you meant to cut the plugs down so they’re not dangling out and getting ripped out? I haven’t actually used them myself yet but I thought that’s what the YouTube videos from some of the manufacturers show. Might need to carry some tiny wire cutters though

  5. Sorry for the DNF, it's a pity after all the preparations. For me (and my friends) the Schwalbe's have always had too weak of sidewalls, always cutting there and I also had some explosions too. Then I went to Maxxis IKON EXO 3C and never looked back, faster, stronger, lighter tyre, never tear a sidewall on it since!

  6. Shame you couldn't finish the race. You were overtaking me and another rider on the uphill trail at around 36km, then you had to stop. I run a similar tyre setup, but instead of TB in the rear I have 2.1 RaRa. But I understand TB are more ''race'' oriented. Also, I am curious how long will it take for you to loose one of the Shamurai bar plugs 🙂 , speaking from my own and friend's experience, we both lost it very early, and from the reviews I saw, others were affected as well.Good luck in your next race.
