  1. I have basically zero interest in carbon, but aesthetically that bike is off the charts. Been drooling over it at my local giant store for months.

  2. It would take a year for something to rub a deep chip like that, i doubt i happened while transporting in a car. Now its too late to make a complaint in a store, but i'd patch that scuff, and airbrush paint it just to forget it.

My giant xtc advanced sl had a small crack behind the head tube and I was able to ride and race on it for a week before I got the warranty in no probs I think the carbon layup in mtb bars frames and general parts is pretty sturdy I have never Heard of people's bars cracking off or any thing I have ran carbon bars even after many crashes no probs and they feel very sturdy I think carbon tech has certainly advanced and snapping is less of an issue
