  1. when the head comes off like this, you can only replace the spoke itself…but then again, it shows that the other ones are getting to their MTBF point…so you might as well just respoke the whole wheel.

  2. JRA and I broke a spoke at about 60kmh – pretty nerve racking. But dude how can you not replace a spoke? Well easy mate. PS check out my "joe best's bedroom" vid, I think you'll find it funny.

  3. sign of a bad wheel if it breaks spokes – but, rather than wrap the broken spoke around the others why not simply unscrew it from the top of the spoke?? – next video, how to replace a spoke…

  4. M8 I respectfully disagree with Stan's wheels being bad. I own the same set, 3 years of cycling year round including cold winter months and only 2 broken spokes. perhaps just bad luck with your particular set. the only complaint I have is the annoying sound rear hub makes. cheers.

  5. i usually just take the spoke out… typically the wheel is still fine to ride on after you remove it.. but yes, you have to flip the cantilever open bc the wheel will be really out of true..

  6. Triple Cats Cycles in CM. Serious about wheel building. They have Sapim spokes and nipples, DT swiss etc. More of a touring shop but first choice in CM for any wheel building or repairing imo.
